SENSORS EVERY SMART HOME SHOULD HAVE | TECHVAULT

WHAT ARE SENSORS?

When sensing a physical occurrence, the device indicates it by producing an output signal then the device is called a sensor. It reacts to physical impulses like light, sound, heat, or any particular motion.  Sensors are a subsystem that detects any change of physical phenomenon in the environment.

A sensor is used in our day-to-day life and plays a very important role. They have numerous applications in our life of which we are mostly unaware.  Sensors have input and output signals. The output signals are the one that is displayed to people when they can sense any input signals.

SENSORS EVERY SMART HOME NEEDS

Temperature sensors: Temperature sensors are used both for outdoor and indoor purposes in our home.  For indoors the temperature sensors can detect the temperature in your room and compare it to the outside temperature. If it’s relatively high then they can adjust the temperature of the room by turning the ac on or setting its temperature suitably.

Motion sensors: For home security, motion sensors are used. If you have children at your home or when you are not home, the motion sensors detect any movement and will inform you through your smartphone or any other connected device.

They can also be used to turn on or off the light when someone walks in. Motion sensors will inform you if someone is near your house or going inside your home without authority.

Sound sensors: Sound sensors can be used to turn on your appliance. Instead of using switches, you can use clap, whistle, or produce any kind of sound to turn on or off.

When you have a tenant and you stay away the sound sensor can detect if there is any party going on with very loud music.

Smart smoke and CO sensors:  A smart smoke sensor monitors the air quality of your home. They will detect any kind of natural calamities like fire, smoke, or malfunctioning appliances and then inform you. They can detect the difference between burnt food and actual smoke.

You can stand out from the crowd and make an impression by embracing smart tech in your house. For smart home automation, sensors are a must.  Sensors are easy to install as they require no wiring; they have an invisible network mesh working together.

A sensor protects you from immediate emergencies thus preventing fear and anxiety. In case of a natural calamity, sensors will warn you so you can protect your possessions and take protection by being prepared.
